In January, Mumbai Mobile Creche (MMC) worked with the TBR team to deliver more capacity building sessions for ICDS teachers in Taloja! Teachers from about 94 centres participated in the workshops on innovative learning tools and techniques, to build on their effective teaching skills and to further improve the learning outcomes of the children.
TBR social workers have been working in each of the villages to improve local nutrition outcomes. Home visits and one-on-one sessions were conducted for children fund to be underweight from our screenings, to counsel and guide children and parents/caretakers. TBR also collaborates with the Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital and MGM Hospital in Taloja. Depending on the village location, severely malnourished (SAM) children were referred to one of these two hospitals for extra treatment, and this initiative has already helped 15 children aged 6 months to 3 years to improve their malnutrition grading.
Through this three-month program, I deepened my understanding of social issues and realized that solving these challenges is not solely the responsibility of the social sector. It is also a mission for the business sector, which possesses the technologies and services necessary for impactful solutions. Moving forward, I aspire to become a leader who can operate across borders to help create a future where everyone can live a richer life. I sincerely wish to continue working with Decimal Foundation to support the children of the future and contribute to their ongoing efforts.
