‘Poshan bhi, padhai bhi’ is the Ministry of Women and Child Development’s initiative to link nutrition and education at a foundational level
This quarter, we organised a capacity-building programme for Anganwadi workers in Taloja, equipping frontline workers with practical knowledge to better support the children and families they serve. The training included sessions on nutrition literacy, reinforcing the importance of balanced diets, healthy growth, and early childhood nutrition.
Recognising that learning should also be engaging and joyful, we partnered with Mumbai Mobile Creches to conduct an interactive storytelling workshop. The sessions demonstrated how storytelling can be used as a powerful tool to capture children’s attention, encourage participation, and create more engaging learning experiences within Anganwadi centres. By combining nutrition education with child-friendly teaching techniques, we hope to empower Anganwadi workers to make an even greater impact in their communities.
