TBR began the support program for 59 new ICDS centres in the Raigad District of Maharashtra for total of 92 centres. The program was launched in the presence of the District Officials along with Dr. Raj Bhandari (Senior Paediatrician and Government Advisor) who helped the ICDS workers better understand the importance of millets as part of a diverse diet for the childrens’ growth.
Kellanova India (formerly Kelloggs) also expanded their efforts and now our BrightStart initiative supports an extra 500 children, for a total now of 9,100 students across Maharashtra and Gujarat! This has been in addition to their recent relief efforts across India in the form of disaster relief.
