In 2023, TBR adopted 12 schools in the Taloja MIDC belt to build support programs for the local children. We are happy to report that TBR will be adopting an additional 12 schools in Taloja and will support a total of 2039 students in the upcoming school year!
TBR has conducted the malnutrition screening for these children, and started on capacity building sessions with the teachers and ASHA workers. The Rotary Club of Worli has generously offered to support 220 students for an entire school year!
With positive results from our initial effort, the local government (ICDS) has requested TBR to also support 100 anganwadis in the Raigad, Panvel and Thane area.
To the next volunteer…… In India there is a saying, “Kuch achha ho jaaye , kuch meetha ho jaaye”. Essentially, if you base your work in generosity and good wishes, your work will turn out very nicely/sweetly. In that spirit I know at TBR there are sweets the only you can can make, there are others who will make sweets with you, and there are children waiting for your sweets. I sincerely believe that your personal journey with TBR will be very sweet!
